This is a Swiss-type cheese with a long ripening period, hard. It has a compact and flexible flesh, uniform colour and round holes. Its hard and dry rind is covered with a natural poly-acetate layer. Its characteristic feature is mild and aromatic taste with a nutty flavour. Szeneker has a cylindrical form and weighs around 8,8, 17 or 26,5 lbs (4, 8 or 12 kg respectively). It is ripened for a minimum of 3 months. Prolonging its ripening period increases its culinary value. We can assure our customers that the cheese produced six months ago, by our plant, is still of perfect taste and high quality.
